April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) started her journey in music as a 7th grader when she took guitar and piano lessons. At the age of seven April started taking piano and guitar lessons. The lessons sparked her passion in songwriting. The singer spent much of her the time of 14 making songs and practicing music. After that, she started taking trips to write with father, who lived in NY and LA. April also began to include different topics related to some of her peers who are dealing with such things as peer pressure disabilities and even teen suicide in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own fan base and also works as a lifestyle blogger at the renowned Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. Born without a left hand, she has a significant part to play in her. It's however not the only thing she has to tell. As a result Lockhart's Instagram account does not shy away from her disabilities, yet the focus isn't on the issue either. The profile is a statement. The message? We are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity self aren't as they appear. It's not my intention to let that define me I don't want to be a disability influencer where it's the only thing I discuss because there are so many other things about my life. Lockhart says via video from her residence in Nashville. It doesn't impact my daily routine. I carry on my business as usual and have found my own methods to adjust. Because it's my identity It's a topic worth talking about. Lockhart, a real source of inspiration for anyone who wants to be self-accepting, is on a long road to reach the goal. She admits that she's been through periods of being uncomfortable with her body and sometimes not being confident in wearing specific types of clothes which showed the arms of her. Now she wears whatever outfit she likes and uploads photos on Facebook in awe. It's a journey is the most important thing. I don't know that you ever arrive she says of self-love. It's a long journey. I'm sure that you never reach your destination. The people around you with, who know you and see through your eyes are the best people to remind you of what you're concerned about.
