Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp has been an Canadian actress for many years. Her name is well-known due to her roles in television and films. Her work is well-known on both Canadian and American television. Emily began acting at the age of 12 after visiting her older sister Katie on one of Katie's films. After realizing her passion for acting she started taking acting classes and went for auditions. Her first audition was for commercials however, she was eventually the role of a child actor in the Canadian TV horror series Are You afraid of the dark? which featured her in a single scene with any spoken dialogue. Her first break came at 15 years old when she got a role on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Even though the show was cancelled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting attracted the attention of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his TV show Everwood. A ballet dancer as well as photographer, Emily was previously ranked as a Teen in their list of most popular actresses who are under 20. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her at number 51.
